And welcome to ScreenCastsPool! My HDD in my 2009 MBP 13" is giving up the ghost. I was going to do the SSD + HybridHDD tango but if they release the MBAs as you described, I'm going to take the plunge.
What I really want to see come out at WWDC is Final Cut X and a MacMini with SSD, Thunderbolt, and HDMI!
