One Other Impact of the Leopard Delay

I have to admit, I was going to use the release of Leopard (based on the original Spring launch date) as an excuse to completely wipe my primary G5 and put a fresh new install of OSX on it - Leopard of course.
Now I've got to wait until October so I need another excuse. Whilst OSX is very forgiving of the multitudes of applications I've installed on it, I get the feeling that a clean build will sort out a few spinning beach balls and the occasional issues during shutdown.
Perhaps a copy of the new Final Cut Studio is good enough reason to wipe the machine?
We'll see!
