MacWorld 2007

Well I've only gone and done it and booked my flight to MacWorld.

I've been toying with the idea for months but it's only been the past few days when it's become feasible due to the airfare reducing nearer the time. Booked it with three days to go despite sort of being resigned to the fact I wasn't going to make it!

So, if there are any ScreenCastsOnline viewers, fellow podcastors, vendors wishing to show me cool new apps to do screencasts on, anyone who knows the ropes and the best place to see the keynote, anyone who knows where the best functions (ahem) are or generally anyone who wants to hook up and show a MacWorld newbie how to survive MAcWorld 2007, just drop me a note to

ScreenCastsOnline@gmail.com

and I'll see you there!

Next weeks show will be flexible, I might just do some audio or video reports each day or so, or do a full screencast show from my Hotel room an some new fangled software that might have been released!

Let's play it by ear!

Have a great time at MacWorld. I would love to go myself. Especially now after Apple have had such a great year and with the promise of another great one to come!

One suggestion would be to go to the Omnifocus meeting at the SF Apple Store on Monday January 8th at 4.30pm. You covered Omnioutliner in screencasts 67 and 68 and I for one bought that great program with the generous 40% discount you secured for SCO watchers. You have also covered Kinkless GTD in SC0 77. Omnigroup have retained the Kinkless creator to advise and assist them on Omnifocus and there are many many people eagerly awaiting it.

I wanted to like Kinkless but it had just too many faults and bugs for me and I could not trust it with my data.

As you know Kinkless sought to implement David Allen's GTD methodology which is a major productivity methodology. This is the whole point of Omnifocus as there is a total lack of a quality GTD application for the mac.

The Omni guys are saying that they will be previewing the omnifocus software at the meeting (it is still pre Beta).

So how about popping along and reporting back. I'd love to hear what you think.

Enjoy MacWorld and SF.

Simon.

Simon - Don't think I'll make the Monday event as I'm only getting in to SF on Monday evening. After a 20hr journey, I'll probably not be up for it anyway :-)

Sure I'll dig some information out though.
