Is the word "debarcle" the British spelling of debacle as in the part of the screencast "The Gizmodo iPhone 4G ...?

Debacle comes from the French "débâcle" meaning a fiasco which comes from the Italian. They both mean cock up, a fine Anglo Saxon expression. :)
