Double take...

With all the talk about the Apple event on the 9th September and the re-launch of the Beatles catalogue and the new Beatles Rock Band game on the same day, rumours of an Apple tie up and The Beatles are rife.
I just read the following in the next weeks Radio Times, a UK based TV listings magazine, which has an article about a documentary featuring the Beatles called "The Beatles on Record". The article features the director of the documentary, Bob Smeaton, who also directed the Anthology series in 1995. The article brings his work up to date by stating:
He was brought in by Apple more recently to create mini-documentaries for the digitally remastered studio albums, which are being released on the 9th September.
I nearly fell off my chair!
Could this be confirmation of additional content being created for the Apple "Cocktail" project?
Then it dawned on me, the article probably refers to Apple the record company.
Or do they still exist?

Just being a skeptic I assume they refer to the recording company, but with no Tablet at this event maybe the Beatles are the big announcement. If steves there its either a tablet or the beatles.
This refers to the video documentaries that are included with the new CDs, sadly.
They're mentioned in the advert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&v=niB-LOKdYvw the end credit of which is Apple Corp.
Hmmm... Beatles + Cocktail + Steve Jobs = 9/9/09 :-)
Don, you're from Liverpool! The Beatles are from Liverpool. If there's going to be an Apple Inc. event around the 40th anniversary of the Beatles splitting up then I think something will happen in Liverpool. Maybe you'll bring us photos from the Cavern Club. :o)
Wasn't there some business a few years back that since Apple Records preexisted Apple Computers so the allowed Apple Computers to continue using the name? Since Apple Computers has entered the music industry they had to make some kind of settlement to continue using the name?
Beatles remaster would most likely have documentaries and will probably contain a DVD. As for it being Apple Computer, I doubt that. Apple would write a script for (insert name of event presenter) use for any presentation. Would like Beatles on iTunes whether as music or there on 9 Sep 2009.
