Business Podcasting Bible

1933596376-1.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_V41781871_.jpgOne very important person left off the list of people I met yesterday was Paul Colligan Paul Colligan. We've exchanged several emails on the topic of the ScreenCastsOnline Extra! membership approach I've taken with ScreenCastsOnline as Paul is actively helping other Podcasters looking at ways to monetise their podcasts. ScreenCastsOnline (and myself) got a mention in Pauls session during the Expo. Paul also published his new book at the Expo - The Business Podcasting Bible. To my delight, ScreenCastsOnline has got a mention in the book as one of Pauls favorite podcasts! What's even cooler is the it's mentioned on the same page as The Chris Pirillo Show, Battlestar Galactica, Podcast 411 and TWIT - all heavy hitters in the podcast would and I'm jazzed to be mentioned in such illustrious company (check out Page 226) Thanks Paul! PS I'll setup an affiliate link for anyone who wants to get the book when I get back to the UK Update: Here is that affiliate link :-) Business Podcasting Bible

Apple & Google

This has got to be creating heartburn in Redmond. In a late announcement (at least on the east coast), Google CEO Dr. Eric Schmidt is joining Apple's Board of Directors. Now let's see. The most popular search engine on the planet now will have some influence on the company that has so far dominated digital music (and soon movies as well). And oh, by the way, the CEO of that company happens to be the largest shareholder in Disney/ABC/ESPN as well. Suddenly, having a monopoly on corporate desktops doesn't seem quite so, well, so much a ticket to world domination. Oh my.

Carl Howe pretty much nails it!

Those Apple Guys Are Serious!

Update:
Boot Camp 1.1 beta includes:

Support for the latest Intel-based Macintosh computers
Easier partitioning using presets for popular sizes
Ability to install Windows XP on any internal disk
iSight camera support
Support for built-in microphones
Right-click when pressing the right-hand Apple key on Apple keyboards
Improved Apple keyboard support including Delete, PrintScreen, NumLock, and ScrollLock keys

Apple Boot Camp 1.0b1 1.1 » at Cool OSX Apps

I know it was mentioned in the WWDC but BootCamp must be shifting a lot of hardware for Apple. Great to see the experiment working and for all these extra drivers becoming available to take full advantage of iSight, etc. As far as I can, that's the only blocker to Corporates taking Macs big time.
