The Expo approaches...

In final panic mode now to get some commissioned work completed, get this weeks show published and finish off my presentation for Friday before jetting off on Wednesday. Luckily, there's the Podcamp on the Thursday before the Expo starts so if you see me at the back of the room feverish working on my laptop, I'll be doing one of two things, either activating my new iPhone that hopefully I will have picked up that morning, or finishing off my presentation. I've good reason to believe I'll probably be doing both! If you're around the Expo, be sure to stop me and say hello. It looks like this years event will be much bigger and busier than last year and it's the last time for Ontario, next year it's Las Vegas! If you want to stop by the iProng booth on Saturday lunchtime, I'll be on hand to give iPod demos or just chat to anyone happens to drop by!

Another MacVoices Spot - UK iPhone

I stayed up late on Tuesday to have a chat with my good buddy Chuck Joiner from the MacVoices podcast. As you can probably guess, the main topic of conversation was the announcement of the UK version of the iPhone on the same day. Podcast Expo looms closer.....

Not long now before the Podcast and New Media Expo in Ontario, CA. It kicks off on the 28th September but I'm flying out a few days before and will be attending the Podcamp SoCal the day before. I went to the Podcast Expo last year and had a blast. There are so many stellar sessions but the value of hooking up with so many fellow podcasters is not to be missed. This year is slightly different as I'm actually presenting a session, all about screencasting. I've already mentioned on the blog about how delighted I was to be selected from such a large number of submissions but I've just seen a great blog post from Jason Van Orden (the author of "Promoting Your Podcast") The blog post gives some great info and tips on attending the Expo but the icing on the cake is that Jason has rated my Screencasting 101 session as his number 4 recommendation to attend. No pressure then Jason ;-) Seriously, Thanks for the plug! Update : If you are going to the Expo you might want to checkout this free downloadable Pod SnapShot - It's a text based guide with all the sessions and other information ready to install on your iPod. iPhone and iPod Touch users simply browse to the Expodition sister-site www.iviewr.com and click on Events.
